Staff were excellent and the hotel room was stylish and comfortable. They have free wifi and aircon and mine was much more spacious than the sort of room you usually get in London in this price range. I've stayed in several hotels in the area and this is by far the best value for money.
I was in the basement and could hear the tubes rumbling underneath me. It wasn't a big problem because I'm not a light sleeper, but if you are you might want to ask to not have a room on that level.
The location is excellent. Just across the road from the bus tour company of london and across the road from the tube station, not to mind two excellent restaurants.Although the rooms are small, they are very modern and well kept so that makes up for it.
The room was very small so if you plan on shopping, you will be caught for space to put it. However, the very modern decor, huge plasma tv and lovely double shower more than make up for the tiny rooms.
Been here 4 times before and every time was good. Very central, friendly staff and manager and good value for money.
A good price for a clean and comfortable hotel right in the middle of London
I like the location of this hotel. I had some business in Knightsbridge and this hotel is in walking distance. I stayed in room 825 and the size of this room is good for 1 person. The price I paid was relatively cheap for a hotel in London. This room is newly(ish) decorated and appeared to be clean. The bathroom is nice with a large shower cubicle and the shower was very powerful.
The room I stayed in (no 825) is on the lower ground floor. This room is triple glazed and for a reason. Just outside of the window there is a big machine, probably the air handling unit of the hotel, which is quite noisy. However, since I was there for 1 night only and very tired, I could not be bothered with a room change.
Location was very good - just few minutes off the Gloucester Road tube station. There is Tesco, Paul's Pattisserie and Starbucks across the road for those who do not want to eat their breakfast in the hotel. It's close to Earls Court as well and location in general is very good. Another thing to mention - we arrived around 11 am and could check in straight away, so that was good. Basically i will be going to London this year again and i will book this hotel for my second stay again.
What i didn't like, but didn't not bother me was that the room was very small. There's no space for suitcase or anything extra, because the room is to tiny, so because i only had 2 hand luggages - i had no problem. But i would not recommend this hotel if you have more than 1 big suitcase :) sounds funny but the room was really really small. Aa...almost forgot, again it didn;t bother me but something to note - hotel has 5 floors -but the lift goes up only up to the 4th floor.
Walking distance to Undergound Station
Limited TV stations and small rooms.
We tend not to use any additional facilities of a hotel as all we require is somewhere comfortable and convenient to sleep at a reasonable price. For us, The Best Western The Cromwell was perfect on all three counts. The only contact with the staff was on arrival and checkout – courteous, polite and extremely helpful - what more can I say. Thanks
I knew from reading other reviews that the english breakfast did not include bacon or normal sausages therefore we did not consider going to breakfast in the hotel. The plus side to this was that because the hotel enjoys a good location, we found a local cafe to have breakfast that was full of character and good food at a good price!
the hotel was quiet and peaceful with an excellent location.
bar and dining facilities were poor.
Staff very friendly and found extra pillows, as well as ones in room, for my husband, as he needed to sit up in bed, for health reasons.
Room was smaller than last time we stopped although still very comfortable.
very nice, good located, clean hotel
Arrived before check in time and was allowed to my room!
The hotel is conveniently located for accessing the excellent restaurants and shops of South Kensington.
Whilst the room was clean enough, it incredibly small and in need of a lick of paint, in spite of the fact that, apparently, the hotel has been refurbushed relatively recently. I was travelling alone, but I deliberately booked a double room to ensure that I would avoid the claustrophobia that is often experienced in single rooms. This room was smaller than any single room I've ever been in, and was complemented by a tiny window with a view of the bin areas.
The proximity to Gloucester Road Underground station was excellent.
The lift was broken. Staff didn't kill themselves with friendliness!
Very close to the underground, supermarket, restruants and bus line to museums and Knightsbridge. The room was quite and very clean and the bath very modern, The flat screen TV was great as I watched the World Cup on it. The A/C was a life saver during the heat wave.
The room was a bit small.
